Free $50 In Crypto, Takes About 5 Minutes

Nognito (NGT) is a new binary smartchain token. As part of their launch they’re giving away tokens they report to be worth $50 per person. Click on this link. It will send you to Telegram (you need to have the Telegram app downloaded on your phone).

You’ll be walked through the steps, which include:

  • Joining their Telegram Group
  • Joining their Telegram Channel
  • Following them on Twitter
  • Retweeting one of their tweets, tagging three friends
  • Sending them your crypto wallet account (BEP-20 compatible such as Trust Wallet or Math Wallet)

Even if you don’t already have a crypto wallet and don’t have telegram installed this is a 5-8 minute exercise for what purports to be $50 in Crypto. You can then get an additional $5 (1 NGT token) for each person you successfully refer to do the same thing. You are welcome to leave your referral links in the comments.

Airdrops are a common technique for new crypto currencies to gain notoriety.

In my own view a currency can serve as a medium of exchange or a store of value. So far crypto isn’t great as a medium of exchange, transactions can be cumbersome and costly. And a good store of value doesn’t swing wildly in price. Eventually there will be crypto that serves both of these functions. I’m not smart enough to know which one that will be. I have absolutely no reason to think it’s Nognito. On the whole I’ve been most interested in the development of Ethereum.

Will Nognito be worth something? Almost certainly not. But if you’ve got 5 minutes to spare, why not play along? To the moon…!

(HT: to a throwaway twitter account who tagged me and a New York Times and City Journal columnist as two of their three people they needed to tag on twitter for this.)

  1. Whether it is worth something or not is irrelevant. I take free crypto from Coinbase all the time, then instantly convert it to crypto that IS worth something. I was fortunate to get into BTC early, so even with the recent “crashes,” I am still up. It is always worth it to take free money if you cash out.

  2. How is this sort of content relevant to a blog which calls itself the “thought leader in travel”? It’s got nothing to do with travel for starters. Honestly Gary, the bulk of your content is decent but you are running a lot of fringe stuff including repetitive ‘see this airport meltdown on video’ stories which have nothing to do with being a “thought leader in travel” and are either slow-day fillers, clickbait or both.

  3. bunch of time to waste on a scam. even if you’re a fan of bitcoin or blockchain, wasting your time to get trivial amounts of a random ponzi token is insane.

  4. The part that breaks the deal for me is retweeting three of their tweets and tagging friends. Basically that constitutes an endorsement for something I have no idea whether it is worth endorsing. I value my credibility more than that.

The wild gyrations in perceived value are indeed concerning. Is this, in essence, a “bigger fool” game?

  5. @DaveS Tag any of your spam followers – almost everyone has those. Always works for me.

  6. I got to this step

(BEP-20 compatible such as Trust Wallet or Math Wallet)

How do “send them your wallet”?

  7. Gary aleast try to maintain some credibility.

You were trying to push garbage Club1 memberships and now you’re peddling obscure crypto currency? Not saying give up on your blog just yet but definitely give up on your ‘thought leader’ aspirations.
