Goats play a very special role in the travel industry.

Last year an airport security goat got loose on a runway and forced an Airbus A319 to abort its landing. And in late 2015 flatulence from 2186 goats forced a Singapore Airlines plane to make an emergency landing. Chicago O’Hare, by the way, uses goats to clear airfield brush.

And before bringing ATR turboprops back into service after an accident, Pakistan International Airlines sacrificed a goat.

So it should come as no surprise that a goat stumbled into the La Quinta Auburn Worcester in Massachusetts early Monday morning. According to police,

The goat was spotted on Jade Hill Road, Montclair Drive, Route 20 near Cube Smart storage, Bryn Mawr Avenue, Jerome Avenue near Hampton Street and then on Oxford Street North during the day and evening shifts on Saturday.

Early Sunday morning, the mischievous runaway farm animal was spotted getting either on or off Route 290 at exit 9.

By 10am, the goat had made its’ way to the Swanson Road School; somehow still evading capture.

Finally, at about 430am Monday, the goat had wrapped up its’ tour of #Auburn and strutted into the La Quinta Hotel on Southbridge Street (presumably to rest a bit), where it was finally taken into “custody” and returned to its’ owner, Peter Blash of the Blash Pig Farm in Millbury.

So, as it turns out, Tom Brady was not the only goat running wild this past weekend.

The police shared surveillance footage to their Facebook account:

Me, I’m city folk, and I’ve never been able to tell the difference between a goat and a sheep. I had to look up what a goat has to do with Tom Brady, too.

Q: Why was the sheep arrested on the freeway?
A: Because she did a ewe-turn!
