Happy Hour In The Sky: Emirates Will Put Onboard Bars In Their New Boeing 777Xs [Roundup]

  • Emirates is planning to put a bar in its new Boeing 777X’s. When they first put bars on their Airbus A380s, they weren’t sure the concept would work, so they designed it to be able to easily remove and replace with 8 business class seats (2 rows). The original A380s had overhead bins in the bar area. Eventually they decided the benefit in attracting premium business was strong enough to want to keep the concept.

    Airbus A380s will be flying until ‘at least 2041’ and they see U.S. service growing with their United partnership.

  • Taking a bus to get from the BWI airport to the BWI airport train station is pretty miserable, honestly.

  • If oxygen masks deploy on your flight and you’re traveling with several children, you have to put your own mask on first.. and then decide which kid to save first?

  • Seems like pretty good justification for a refund of extra charges for this seat, don’t you think?

  • Electric planes usually have batteries and are not solar powered.
