News and notes from around the interweb:
- A good Christopher Elliott piece (stopped clock and all) Hertz banned a customer over a 10 year old $6 toll charge that had never been sent to them. (HT: Jonathan W)
- Hertz offers more settlements to false arrest customers (HT crucker)
- Huge brawl breaks out at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom ‘the happiest place on earth’ they say.
- Two Delta elites get engaged on the tarmac in Atlanta
- About 1000 undocumented immigrants have used warrants as ID at airport security
- Every gate should have a bubble machine.
Yeah travel has been a nightmare for a lot of folks but kudos to this @SouthwestAir gate attendant who brought out the bubble machine. Smiles, laughs, and dancing make it all easier. Thank you. pic.twitter.com/kVRIK0lvKz

Using a warrant as an I.D. to board a plane is pathetic. It you or I tried that stunt, we’d be thrown out of the airport. The Brandon terrorist organization is disgusting.
It’s not a coincidence that these tryants who demand we still wear masks and get vaccinated are the same ones who dont mind illegals getting a free pass into the US.
Pathetic.
I see the Russian trolls are strong in this thread….
@ Gary — How ARE these idiots running Hertz, anyway?
Hertz only banning a customer? They should consider themselves lucky.
@Robert in SF
Lol are their Russian trolls under your bed? Are the 68% of Americans who hate Brandon also Russians,?
@Koggerj
Well I don’t know what you are referring to, probably some Fox-ed up numbers somehow, but at any rate, yes, the comment sections in social media are likely significantly composed of Russian and other foreign agent trolls, pretending to represent American citizens and residents, and other commenters who got riled up by their BS comments intended to fool us into thinking there are so many extremists in the American commentator community. So naturally those who are sorta pissed off or reasonably unhappy with current events/politics/social situations/evolving culture get wound up by the synergistic effects of some sort of mob mentality that happens for people.
So TLDR; yes, plenty of Russian and other trolls wind up others in comment sections in an effort to destabilize our country. And that’s a very distilled summary.
@Robert in SF
you ment to said people in the comments are paid former British spies
Disgusting animalistic behaviour and at what is supposed to be a family-friendly, safe outing.
13% of the population… 90% of the problems. Can’t take ’em anywhere. Total baboons.
