Brazilian influencer Bruno Santos, known “Buzeira,” has 12 million followers on Instagram and significant reach on TikTok. He posts short, comedic videos and pranks. And he apparently involves his daughter – whom he filmed swinging from a Copa Airlines 737 MAX business class ceiling.
It’s one thing for influencers to push boundaries to get noticed, but turning an aircraft cabin into a playground mid-flight crosses a line. There are passengers onboard. There are drinks out. This is midflight – not on the ground. Turbulence happens, clear air turbulence could mean a traumatic brain injury to this child.
Safety risk seems like the primary issue, but it’s also surely not appropriate for a business class cabin. It’s hardly consistent with a premium brand image, even if Copa is getting its name out. Is all publicity good publicity?
Plus, it seems as though the ceiling panels may need to be inspected, and any costs associated with the inspection and possible repair ought to be charged to the influencer passenger.
Put on a no fly list.
More like Copacabana. At least they got the lie-flat aircraft; the recliners just aren’t as fun. I’ve taken both from MIA-PTY. You gotta recognize ‘good taste’ when you can.
Social media should not be monetized, as it specifically gives rise to extreme and often wildly incorrect or illegal activities.
One only needs to look at X/Twitter to see the results of unbridled posts pursing likes / followers resulting in a payday.
Right now, it seems that the pro-polio folks are getting g a lot of followers.
…morons.
Trash humans. Should be banned for life.
Lock him up (endangering a child) so he can have reports from prison.
What are you “influencing” ?! More disrespectful and uncaring lifestyle? Don’t know who you are. Definitely do not want to be influenced by you!
I’m with Adam. Enough is enough. Let’s take it back to pre-Covid at least!
