On Wednesday, February 5 a taxiing Japan Airlines aircraft collided with a stationary Delta Air Lines plane in Seattle.
At approximately 10:17 a.m. Pacific time, multiple departments responded to an incident on a taxi lane between the S Concourse and the south airport maintenance hangars. The Japan Airlines Boeing 787 struck the tail section of a parked Delta Boeing 737 operating as flight 1921 to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Reportedly the Delta aircraft was undergoing de-icing at the time.
All 142 passengers on the Delta flight were deplaned. The ramp and taxiway remained operational. Delta rescheduled the trip’s departure for 3 p.m. Pacific time.
No!! That poor 787!
“Hello, Jake at State Farm…?”
The Delta plane was wrong. It kept bashing its face on the Japanese fist.
After this week?? this is a nothing burger. And I know I should not feel this way. Always tired anymore..
@Maryland — I recall from your earlier comments that you have been ‘tired’ a lot lately. Other than ‘the news,’ which is can be sad and exhausting, it has been a brutally cold winter (for the mid-Atlantic region at least, if you are from Maryland). Especially with the shorter days (Dec-Feb), sometimes people take vitamin-D supplements—a deficiency is no joke (feeling depressed, weakened immune system, etc.). Also, there’s been a nasty norovirus making its way around—yikes. Obviously, consult with a medical professional if you feel you need help. Hope you feel better soon.
@ 1990. I have lymphoma and a PCV a red blood cell cancer. Like getting hit by a meteor twice. But this exhaustion stems from all the recent news. Ugh. Thank you for your concern.
@1990
Odd you mentioned the norovirus. It’s burning presently through my town. I would not go to a buffet (where picked it up) . Good luck to all. Sweet dreams.
JAL is just jealous of Delta’s JV with Korean Air.
@Maryland — Oh my. That is very hard. Far more serious than what was a vitamin D deficiency (in my case). I admire your candor and that you still (hopefully) enjoying things like this community (Gary’s posts, our often silly comments, etc.). Sometimes we all need an ‘escape’ from the harsh realities out there. Trying to make the most of it—having a little fun here and there. Wishing you the best.
