June 1 Only: This Hidden 100% Flying Blue Bonus Is The Best Points Transfer Trick Of The Year

On June 1 Bilt will be offering up to a 200% bonus on points transfers to Accor.

  • 50% bonus for Bilt base and silver members
  • 200% bonus for Bilt Gold and Platinum membes

That’s an incredible deal, getting you 4.55 cents per Bilt point to spend with Accor at the 200% bonus level.

But there’s another angle here. Accor points transfer 1:1 into Air France KLM Flying Blue (2,000 Accor = 2,000 Flying Blue). That makes this Bilt Rent Day a transfer bonus to Flying Blue as well.

A 200% transfer bonus to Accor is a 100% transfer bonus to Flying Blue.

  • 3,000 Bilt points normally gets you 2,000 Accor points
  • With a 200% bonus, 3,000 Bilt points gets you 6,000 Accor points
  • Which yields 6,000 Air France KLM Flying Blue points if you wish

This is a backdoor transfer bonus from Bilt to Air France KLM Flying Blue, and up to a 100% transfer bonus at that. I certainly took advantage of the offer when Bilt ran a 150% transfer bonus to Flying Blue (and I wish I’d transferred even more points). As a Bilt Platinum that makes this offer even more tempting.

    1. Crafty, thanks Gary. How do you manage to keep BILT Platinum status with all the other CC spend as well? Just thru spending $50k on the BILT card itself?

    2. @Super – not sure if i will do it again! but it was pretty lucrative when they used to offer double points on the first of each month, up to 10k bonus points, and that meant 6x on dining etc.

But I much prefer Lyft > Uber and use that a lot, if you have a big family with lots of prescriptions moving those over to Walgreens can add up, and as it happens Bilt dining has some of the better restaurants in my home city.
