Leave a Comment for a Chance to Win a 2-Night HYATT house Stay With Very Important Resident Status

Yesterday I posted about HYATT house’s new extended stay VIP benefits and that I’d be doing a giveaway of a 2-night HYATT house stay that waives the 30 day requirement to qualify for “Very Important Resident” status on that stay and gets you the inside track on giving those benefits a spin.

Here’s how to enter to win:

  • Read about the new HYATT house ‘Very Important Resident’ benefits.

  • Leave a comment in this current contest post, answering the question “Which new benefit is your favorite and why?” Is it the ability to pick your suite, the grocery shopping service, the personalized hotel tour, or something else?

  • You may enter up to once a day — and I give you a bit of slack in this, I won’t disqualify any entry as long as you don’t make more than one entry per calendar day or as long as no entry is closer than 24 hours together from another one. And if you’re close, we’re cool. I’m not looking to disqualify people, just to make sure there’s no massive ballot stuffing.

All entries (comments) must be received no later than Sunday, June 2 at Noone Eastern time.

I will draw the winner at random early next week from those that meet these guidelines. Make sure you enter a valid e-mail address when entering to be eligible to win (you do not need to leave an email address in the comments, but along with your name where it asks for your email that email must be ‘real’ or I will have no way of contacting you).

I’m the final arbiter in all matters related to this contest and in all matters of interpretation. There is no appeal. I’m doing this because there’s an opportunity to send out some cool prizes, and not taking anything from them in return, so please don’t give me a hard time in the process.

Any questions? email me. And hopefully the winner will also follow up with me to let me know their impressions of the new HYATT house benefits for guests making extended stays.

  1. I stayed at Hyatt House in Houston a few weeks ago and it looked like grocery shopping was part of the regular stay package already. I like that they are rolling out a cooked to order omelet service as I thought the breakfast was decent but could use some freshly cooked items. As for what VIR perk seems most intriguing for me – it’ll have to be the tour.

  2. I like Pick Your Suite – it’d be great to choose one with a view, away from traffic noise, morning sun, afternoon sun etc.

  3. Pick-Your-Suite is a great benefit. You are probably working if you are on an extended stay so you could select a room with good evening sunshine.

  4. the grub stub seems cool for a last minute snack when you’re on the run or to hold you over until the grocery shopping service delivers

  5. I realized after posting yesterday that the breakfast is made available to all guests, not just VIR’s. In that case, I select the groceries as my benefit of choice. Being able to have fresh, self-prepared food for dinner while traveling on business is highly underrated.

  6. Grocery shopping! Eliminates the need to drive in an unknown area to get food. Also, it would feel more like I was at home to have groceries stocked in the fridge and will save time after a long day of work!

  7. I love the Pick Your Suite benefit…so much better than having them pick it for you.

  8. Pick your suite…bc maybe you are able to pick a room with surrounding rooms empty

  9. 1. The number one benefit is definitely the pick your suite option. I travel with handicapped and elderly family members who have certain needs to be met in order for their stay to be comfortable. For example, bed size /type, kitchenettes and certain types of bathroom options.

    2. The grocery shopping service is a real star. Oftentimes my family members are too tired even to go to the hotel restaurant to eat. So having something in the room that they can easily access is a blessing.

    3. The favorites folio is nice as well. That way my folks can have extra coffee, the types of pillows/blankets required and other special requests would make their hotel room comfortable versus being a torture chamber.

    THANKS for doing this Gary!

  10. I also like the hotel tour idea. I like learning and you might get to see some behind the scenes spaces/activities.

  11. Ability to pick your suite!
Followed closely by the grocery shopping service.

Thanks for the chance to win!

  12. My favorite new benefit is the Grocery Shopping Service. It’s a pain for me, so having someone else do it is really nice.

  13. I love the Pick-Your-Suite feature. It’s a great thing, and it then it just becomes even more important with a longer stay. Fantastic!

  14. Definitely I would go for “pick your own suite” option. How cool is that ?

  15. Picking your suite. This is definitely important when you are by the noisy pool and need to get work done.

  16. My fave is “pick your suite”. For me, that means no more bad rooms, or at least it won’t be the one that’s the worst available.

  17. Hmm… tough question but I think my favorite would be the Grocery Shopping Service. I can just sit back and relax, knowing that the staff will do all of it (including the carrying bit) for me.

  18. May favorite would be “pick your suite.” Also really like the The Morning Spread.

  19. The Favorites Folio would be quite nice if the service works well. Hotel rooms often feel so cold. Personal touches would be welcome.
