Leave a Comment for a Chance to Win a 2-Night HYATT house Stay With Very Important Resident Status

Yesterday I posted about HYATT house’s new extended stay VIP benefits and that I’d be doing a giveaway of a 2-night HYATT house stay that waives the 30 day requirement to qualify for “Very Important Resident” status on that stay and gets you the inside track on giving those benefits a spin.

Here’s how to enter to win:

  • Read about the new HYATT house ‘Very Important Resident’ benefits.

  • Leave a comment in this current contest post, answering the question “Which new benefit is your favorite and why?” Is it the ability to pick your suite, the grocery shopping service, the personalized hotel tour, or something else?

  • You may enter up to once a day — and I give you a bit of slack in this, I won’t disqualify any entry as long as you don’t make more than one entry per calendar day or as long as no entry is closer than 24 hours together from another one. And if you’re close, we’re cool. I’m not looking to disqualify people, just to make sure there’s no massive ballot stuffing.

All entries (comments) must be received no later than Sunday, June 2 at Noone Eastern time.

I will draw the winner at random early next week from those that meet these guidelines. Make sure you enter a valid e-mail address when entering to be eligible to win (you do not need to leave an email address in the comments, but along with your name where it asks for your email that email must be ‘real’ or I will have no way of contacting you).

I’m the final arbiter in all matters related to this contest and in all matters of interpretation. There is no appeal. I’m doing this because there’s an opportunity to send out some cool prizes, and not taking anything from them in return, so please don’t give me a hard time in the process.

Any questions? email me. And hopefully the winner will also follow up with me to let me know their impressions of the new HYATT house benefits for guests making extended stays.

  1. I’d have to say the grocery shopping service. Long days of work and being gluten-free aren’t always a good mix on the road.

  2. My favorite amenity would be grocery delivery. Usually hotels have few options of ADA (wheelchair adapted) rooms so that one would not likely pay off but having someone deliver and stock groceries is of great benefit when you can’t drive!

  3. Pick-Your-Suite: Pick your own suite from available rooms in your room type at the time of your arrival

  4. For a long stay the Scrub Stub is my favorite benefit. I hate washing clothes at home but I hate washing clothes on the road even more.

  5. Scrub stub – I can always find something to eat, but in tired of going to laundromats or washing my undies in a sink.

  6. pick suite. gives me the ability to choose a view and area of the hall to stay in

  7. Definitely the pick your suite benefit. Why? Deciding how to weight view/convenience is a good thing. I figure I know my own utility function better than others — on most days, anyway.

  8. I love being able to pick the suite so I get the best room in the house with a great view and away from the highway noise, pool but close enough to the elevator, etc.

  9. The Grocery Shopping Service is my favorite because it gives you some of your favorite items which makes it feel a bit more like home.

  10. Pick your suite. I love to get a room with the best sunlight and green views :). Thanks for the blog !!

  11. Grocery shopping service. On the road in a new town, it would be so nice to have food like what I have at home in the cupboards so that I’m not consigned to takeout or room service. Sometimes I’m working real late and just want a PBJ, not some toaster pastry from a vending machine.

  12. I think the grocery shopping service is definitely the coolest. Just takes care of what could be a major hassle at the end of a long day of work.

  13. I’m loving the scrub stub. That’s great for washing fitness gear so my hotel room doesn’t smell like a locker room.

  14. The grocery shopping service sounds pretty good. I don’t like to eat out much, and am pretty picky about what I’ll eat these days (trying to stick to veggies and animals). If I were on an extended trip, I could see this benefit coming in handy.

  15. Pick your suite looks best to me – nice to be able to optimize for high/low floor, proximity to elevator, etc. based on circumstances.

  16. I like the grocery shopping service. I have two small kids so its hard to get around with them. That service would be fantastic. We love peapod here so this sounds not too far off!

  17. Stocked fridge/grocery service. It’s always good to come ‘home’ to some of your favorite foods waiting for you

  18. I’m a fan of the Favorites Folio. Anything to personalize my stay and make me feel special is always appreciated.

  19. Grocery shopping – what an amazing idea for those of us who travel with small kids! The grocery store errand during a trip is such a pain.

  20. The grocery shopping service. I’m a healthy eater, and hotel restaurants usually don’t fit the bill unless you want nothing more than a salad.

  21. Scrub Stub. We already pack pretty light, but this will help even more!

  22. Initially I thought Pick-your-Suite was best, but I’m actually most intrigued by Favorites Folio, so that’s what I’m going with.
