Here are the Turkey deals and here are the Russia deals.
According to The Flight Deal, Delta is attacking United’s hubs with deep discount airfares priced at $1 plus taxes and fees.
They report these fares to Moscow from San Francisco, Chicago, Cleveland, Denver, Houston, and Washington Dulles — all of United’s hubs (and in the case of Cleveland, an ex-hub) except Newark.
This is for travel on Delta between January 12 and March 12, and between April 20 and May 14. Your outbound must be Sunday through Wednesday (no Thursday, Friday, or Saturday departures) and your return must be Monday through Thursday.
There are $25 fares to Turkey, which total $400 – $500 depending on where you’re flying from and the routing.
TFD reports:
- San Francisco – Istanbul $482 roundtrip
- Chicago – Istanbul $408 roundtrip
- Washington D.C. – Istanbul $408 roundtrip
- Houston – Istanbul $482 roundtrip
As with the Moscow fares, these Istanbul fares are available January 12 through March 12 and April 20 through May 14, Your outbound must be Sunday through Wednesday (no Thursday, Friday, or Saturday departures) and your return must be Monday through Thursday.

I think DL screwed up with this, TBH. If this is in fact a legit sale (and it seems to be with all of the restrictions), they lose the ability to claim any future error is a mistake fare. Their CoC only says that they “do not, or do not intend to file $0 fares.” NW used to use the language “zero or near zero.”
So by offering a legit $1 base fare (with $199.20 in “international surcharges”) they take away the ability to argue that the fare is “so damn cheap a reasonable person would have to know it’s a mistake.”
The one problem with so many damn miles is that I plan my leave 1-2 years out, and fly overseas in business. I have almost no current need for an essentially “last minute” coach ticket that I actually have to pay for, no matter how good the “deal.”
Low as 314 SFO to SVO 2/3-2/12 – credit to secret flying. too bad the visa is a killer
Not to come across as paranoid, neither nation is one I would spend my whole time.IMHO,things could go crazy, anytime in the near future in either country. As a jumping off point to explore the region, if the flight saves you money, why not.
good leverage opportunity with the Club Carlson promotion. I see AAA rates at Istanbul Tuzla property for $72 net depending on the dates
Just paid $345 for IAD/Dublin in May on Delta. Took this over paying with United miles.
L, how do you do the IAD to Dub for $345?
I can’t find such amazing price.
