Lufthansa has been planning to introduce a new first class next year.
The airline’s Airbus A350s, slated to arrive in late 2023, will offer a one row first class cabin that’s been described as suites.
However what those first class suites would be like has been unknown. From an internal Lufthansa event we know that these first class suites will be ‘fully-enclosed’ meaning doors, as spotted by the ever-vigilant JonNYC.
hmmmmmm…
LH: “future first class.. fully closable suites” eh? pic.twitter.com/XAzD9Uf2lq— 🇺🇦 JonNYC 🇺🇦 (@xJonNYC) May 12, 2022
The A350s offering first class will be based in Munich. In normal times Lufthansa doesn’t release first class award seats to those using miles in a partner frequent flyer program, like United’s MileagePlus or Air Canada’s Aeroplan, more than 15 days in advance though there are exceptions. With a four seat cabin on the A350 I’d expect award availability to be even stricter.
Doors are to first or business class seats in the 2020s what lie-flat seats were in the 2000s.
Truly innovative & unprecedented by Lufthansa. Time for another Skytrax 5 star award.
Any word if Lufthansa will allow Jewish people to book them?
(tongue in cheek sarcasm in relation to the Lufthansa debacle last week, in case any oblivious keyboard warriors bring out their pitchforks)
Only four first class seats total? Id say that pretty much wipes out the prospect of finding two award seats on the same flight. That’s fine for narcissists I suppose but worthless for anyone who wants to enjoy the experience this with someone else.
Will the doors say “Arbeit Macht Frei” on them?
@ Third Times the Charm,
What a totally out of place comment to make. Neither funny nor relevant-even in a sarcastic or comedic nature. Even taking into account the shameful behavior of LH’s gate staff in FRA earlier this week.
Some instances one should pause before writing, and consider if something is witty or really just in bad taste.
