There’s news on the launch of two new Trump hotel brands first revealed in June.
[T]he Trump Organization, now run by the president’s sons Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, bestowed a singular distinction upon Cleveland, population 12,000, and two nearby towns. It announced it would debut two new hotel brands here, beginning with a four-star, 100-room Scion hotel originally designed to replicate an antebellum plantation.
In a partnership with local owners, the company said it would reopen two Comfort Inns and a Rodeway Inn after bringing them up to Trump standards and use the properties to launch its newest brand, known as “American Idea.”
The most well-known and controversial Trump property has become the Trump Hotel in DC.
It strikes me it will be difficult to promote American Idea after Donald Trump endorsed Holiday Inn.
The Trump Organization debuting a Southern plantation seems like a very bad idea for its majority owner.
I’m still hoping, of course, that my Trump boardgame appreciates in value.
You couldn’t pay me to stay at a Trump Hotel. Why would I support a company that was involved in money laundering criminal Russian oligarch cash? You can’t get more anti patriotic than that. I prefer to support companies that support the American worker and America!!!
@Mark. I wasn’t aware that Hillary owned hotels.
Trump on the NFL: This isn’t about race but why won’t these black people listen to their owners?
Trump on La David Johnson: This isn’t about race but that one black soldier knew what he was signing up for.
Trump on hotels: This isn’t about race but I’m building a southern plantation.
@Ray…well played.
Sadly, these real-life headlines have ruined satire, in that you couldn’t write a satirical article that said what the news actually is because satire only works when the idea is both preposterous and believable.
