News and notes from around the interweb:
- Sounds about right.
- Iran and Iraq have signed an air transportation agreement. Read into that what you will.
- Keflavík International Airport outside Reykjavik, Iceland is spending a billion dollars to boost capacity with the huge ramp up of flights from Icelandair and Wow Air and new service from North American carriers as well. All of a sudden Keflavík is the ‘it’ growth airport.
We’ll see how sustainable that is, it’s a strong connecting point to Europe but that was true for Icelandair for many years (and they weren’t able to sustain their soon-to-restart Baltimore flight).

- Air India will be broken into four parts ahead of sale by government. “Some pieces sold separately” the regional carrier, ground handling, and its engineering division will be separate companies.
- Only 35% of business travelers (and fewer leisure travelers) can correctly identify a bed bug (HT: 777 Global Mile Hound)

All those passengers paying next to nothing to fly on WOW are in for sticker shock when they arrive in tiny Iceland to find high prices + extremely limited accommodation. The population of Iceland was 335,000 last year. How many more passengers will arrive in KEF this year on ultra-cheap flights and expect a reasonably-priced vacation?
Hammock guy is all sorts of amazing.
I almost wanna do this, instead of spending 4 hours in a lounge on a long layover.
