News and notes from around the interweb:
- Women rented a whole house through Airbnb but discovered there was a tenant living in the basement hijinks ensue.
- Japan is trying to get young people to drink more didn’t we all do that during the pandemic? The government there wants to offset declining tax revenue.
- Up to 40% off Amtrak reward travel through September 30 redeem by August 25
- Both pilots of Ethiopian Airlines 737 fall asleep, miss approach
- Passenger awakens to a needle in his side and becomes enraged
- Toronto Pearson airport wants to sell pot, legalize gambling
Passenger wakes up to find a needle in his side? I guess he got the point.
Never sleep next to a weirdo.
Regarding needle story: No good deed goes unpunished.
Makes sense, one has to be pretty high to fly the garbage that is Air Canada…
I’d be irate too
With regard to the ‘undisclosed tenant living in the Abb basement’ … how long is this level of stupid going to go on? Until an entire family is murdered in cold blood in an Abb rental? Do tenants really think a faceless online entity is going to be sure they have a good experience? But then, they DO save a lot of money over a hotel room … and ain’t that the ultimate goal when travelling … spend less, write about it online. Be famous for 30 seconds.
I thought Airbnb was going to NOT allow “parties” in their rentals anymore? Yet this Bachelorette admits to Airbnb they were there to party and received no blowback…..
Clickbait headline. No good deed goes unpunished – next time, just let him choke on his own vomit and let him die.
FWIW, I have heard that it is not uncommon for addicts who are revived from dying by using Narcan can get violent because you’ve cut off their high.
What is an alcohol come and who would a glucose shot help? This story does not track.
@AAAA – From what I just read, when processing alcohol, your liver stops effectively regulating blood glucose levels, possibly sending you into hypoglycemia. Excess alcohol consumption can also cause increased insulin production, also causing hypoglycemia. A glucose shot would help reverse that.
RE: “Women rented a whole house through Airbnb but discovered there was a tenant living in the basement”
Sounds like an episode from the Ozark – or was it the whole season!
