On June 1 Bilt will be offering up to a 200% bonus on points transfers to Accor. This is a backdoor transfer bonus from Bilt to Air France KLM Flying Blue, and up to a 100% transfer bonus at that.
Bilt’s June 1 Rent Day headline benefit is up to a 200% transfer bonus converting Bilt Points to ALL – Accor Live Limitless points.
Bilt’s first Rent Day of 2025 has an elite status offer with Accor hotels as its headline affair. Accor has 55 brands, with a huge footprint in Europe and they’re large in Asia as well. Some of their most recognizable are Fairmont, Orient Express, Raffles, Novotel and Sofitel.
Bilt Rewards has added TAP Air Portugal Miles&Go as a 1:1 points transfer partner, and Accor’s ALL – Accor Live Limitless as a 3:2 points transfer partner. Both partnerships are now live.
Marriott Bonvoy (inclusive of former Starwood members) is the largest program while Hilton Honors has been growing quickly and catching up. Accor’s loyalty program – which is newer than the others – is small for the chain’s size. And while World of Hyatt is the smallest among these 7 hotel groups, it hits substantially above its weight, something that’s true both for program membership and for its co-brand credit card deal.
Expedia spends a lot to acquire one-off customers. They’re realizing it can be cheaper to sell subsequent trips to people that have already purchased from them (loyalty matters) and they’ve gutted their loyalty program throughout the years.
Meanwhile if Accor is ‘early in’ with this partnership they may gain higher purchase likelihood from Expedia’s eyeballs than other chains.
The introduction of a new top Diamond tier doesn’t take anything away from existing Platinums (like club lounge access). Most hotel chains don’t offer confirmed suite upgrades, but Accor is driving towards this unique benefit.
Basically all we know is that there will be a new loyalty program, probably mostly marketing changes but I believe some unspecified improvements too, and new partnerships that won’t be super relevant to folks in the US.
Over time we’ll see them better integrate their hotel investments and their non-hotel investments through the new program. For now though the program announcement seems… premature.
