“Move Your Arm, Miss Piggy!” Boy Sneers At Overweight Passenger—She Slams His Head Into Window; Allegiant Jet Turns Back

This past Monday a Hagerstown, Maryland woman flying home on Allegiant Air flight 2884 wound up in police custody at Orlando Sanford Airport after giving a 12 year old passenger a beat down. The boy had taunted the 46-year-old woman, calling her “fat” and “Miss Piggy” and saying she couldn’t fit in her seat.

The two were seatmates. The boy pushed her arm off the shared armrest between them and she “started smacking him.” According to other passengers, she hit him with a clenched fist, clubbed him with a plastic water bottle, and then slammed his head against the window.

Passenger Responds To An Onboard Medical Emergency With Acupuncture And Essential Oils

Not everyone who volunteers in an emergency is equally qualified, as this story from an Allegiant flight attendant demonstrates. A woman responded to a medical situation on a flight on Thursday by asking crew “to allow her to perform acupuncture and administer essential oils” – and when they declined she went to the traveling companions of the passenger in distress directly to offer her services.

Brawl Breaks Out On Allegiant Air Over Maskless Man

Allegiant Air can take you non-stop between inexpensive airports outside of major cities and places no one wants to go. And they do it for less, as long as you want to travel at 1 p.m. on Wednesdays.

The airline knows their market, and has operated a greater share of their flights throughout the pandemic than other airlines. They’ve reported their customers are less afraid of Covid-19. Unsurprisingly that translates to a unique onboard experience during Covid times.
