The aircraft had completed flight QR663 from Colombo, Sri Lanka, and was taxiing to its assigned gate when its right main landing gear encountered an unexpected failure in the tarmac.

Mexico Sells Its VIP Presidential Plane To… Tajikistan, One Of World’s Poorest Countries

Mexican President ‘AMLO’ refused use of his government’s VIP-configured Boeing 787-8, and had it stored in the Southern California desert. After years of trying, the plane has finally been sold to the government of Tajikistan for approximately $92 million. That means it can no longer join the fleet of a planned reboot of Mexicana Airlines.

So where does American Airlines stand? The topic was addressed at a recent meeting between executives and pilots in Dallas (a recording of which was reviewed by View From The Wing). CEO Robert Isom began by saying they have enough on their plate with current aircraft deliveries and Vice President Brian Znotins explaining why they don’t want the Boeing 787-10.

United Will Announce A Boeing 787 Order On Tuesday. They’ll Come With A New Business Class Suite.

United is holding an event on Tuesday with Boeing at the aircraft manufacturer’s facility in South Carolina. They are expected to announce a major order for Boeing 787 long haul aircraft.

These new planes will come with the same economy and premium economy seats United currently uses on their Boeing 787-10 aircraft, however business class with be a new seat – ‘next generation Polaris’ – which offers suites with doors.
