News and notes from around the interweb:
- Expedia: “[C]ustomers conduct an average of 48 searches across the Web before they purchase a ticket.”
- The 5 Best Perks Elite Travelers Get in 2015, my take for USA Today‘s travel site.
- I was on Fox News Happening Now earlier today with Jenna Lee talking about Jeff Smisek’s departure from United — what it means for government investigations of the airline, and for passengers.
- Via reader C.B., I do follow this twitter feed but missed the tweet.
- A British Airways 777 departing Las Vegas had an engine fire and aborted takeoff yesterday. 20 people were injured.
That BA accident at LAS is a somewhat underreported story because nobody died.. Many people could have been killed by that uncontrolled engine failure. Good thinking by the crew and considerable luck saved a lot of lives.
A good presentation on TV Gary. By the way, I enjoy your posts but usually don’t chime in. Keep up your good work.
