The case of the golden grenade. Today @TSA officers at @EWRairport detected this golden grenade in a checked bag. Inspection determined it was an actual grenade that had been made inert. Man claimed he was flying to military training. Perhaps train guys not to pack grenades! pic.twitter.com/dYCU74CZDU

It is the policy of the United Club not to permit such bags in the facility. Or such hipster losers. Even if they buy up to United First for $29. https://t.co/B9AS6OIGwY

Re: first class mixed with coach – all I want is aisle access and the ability to lie flat. A “private cabin” feel is nice but I could forgo it.
Re: “Sprinkling first class seats amidst coach for efficiency:”
The linked article misreported the actual design. The “first class seats” that you described are actually premium economy seats, and the author recommends them to be priced, sold and marketed as such. The PE seats themselves are not much wider than the standard economy seats (and you can even see this in the rendering), but the design allows you to fold the four seats in each compartment in order to turn them into a large bed for families to share.
The backpack story is hilarious
