- Air Canada Aeroplan has added Air Dolimiti as a codeshare and frequent flyer partner. While it’s a Lufthansa carrier, largely operating between Frankfurt and Munich and over a dozen destinations in Italy, some flights are Lufthansa-branded (and thus already accessible via Aeroplan) while others are own-branded. This brings those own-branded flights into Aeroplan’s stable, meaning you can include the flights in Aeroplan awards and combine them with other partners.
- Via the Travel On Points Facebook group the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay offers unlimited golf packages. You may pay just an extra $50 a night inclusive of golf cart for two people to play golf.
- As a followup to Serbia offering free vaccines to foreign visitors to the country, Albanian airline Albawings flew its entire staff to Belgrade over the weekend (using two of its three aircraft) and the airline is now 100% vaccinated. (HT: One Mile at a Time)
Since they weren’t staying in Serbia for over 12 hours, they wouldn’t even have been required to present a negative PCR test to enter.
- Travel agent charged with taking clients’ money, making up fake trips this is a surprisingly familiar story.
Wendy Wong, who worked as a virtual travel agent for her company, the House of Aloha Hawaii, is accused of booking fake flights and itineraries for clients and refusing to pay them back.
…In one case, a client and 80 of his friends and family spent a total of more than $100,000 on a trip. The client said that their trip — which included flights, hotel accommodations and other visitor events — were all canceled at the last minute.
