United Airlines And Delta Suspend Israel Flights As Iran Vows To Attack

Delta and United have suspended service to Tel Aviv, in anticipation of an escalation in hostilities between Israel and Iran, Hezbollah, and other Iranian-backed groups after Israel struck Hamas’s Ismail Haniyeh while at his home in Tehran.

United cancelled both of its Wednesday Newark to Tel Aviv flights, while planning to have all crew evacuated from Tel Aviv on the second flight out of Tel Aviv.

Delta cancelled its flight as well. It is unclear when either carrier will resume flights. United flights show as cancelled at this point through August 7th. Delta has cancelled today’s flight and tomorrow’s so far. American Airlines has not restored its own Tel Aviv service since ceasing flights following the October 7th massacre in Israel.

There are reports that Iran has already ordered a direct strike on Israel.

Israel also killed Hezbollah’s senior military commander Fuad Shukr with a strike in Beirut, responsible for killing 12 soccer-playing children in recent days. He was also responsible for the attack on U.S. Marines in Beirut in 1983 which killed 241 American soldiers, and had a $5 million reward posted by the United States as a member of this country’s terrorist most wanted list.

  1. @AndyS I agree but from the palestines

The reason DL and UA CXed their flights is since the crews overnight unlike the European Carriers where the crew that flys in , flys right out at max 90 mins later

  2. they had to cancel immediately. As we know they can still sell tickets thru an I/L arrangement with El Al and/or the European carriers over Rome, London, Paris, Frankfurt and Amsterdam etc. But some of the major European carriers may also cancel.

  3. Asking for a friend – does the Israeli military get the $5M reward? Or the pilot who fired the missile? How does this work?

  4. The targeted Israeli hits in Lebanon and Iran were already paid for by the US exponentially many times over $5 million.

The targeted Israeli killing in Iran of the visiting Hamas point man for negotiating the release of the remaining October 7th hostages in Gaza can be taken as a sign that Netanyahu doesn’t care about the release of the remaining hostages and that he wants the conflict to drag on to try to keep himself in power and avoid a prosecution that lands him with a criminal conviction in Israel.

  5. The coward Hamas leader who hid in Iran’s capital wasn’t a “point man”. He was unable to negotiate anything humane. He’s a repulsive human who is now IN HELL. His worshippers believe he’s having sex with a lot of virgins in his afterlife, but he’s not. Hamas/Iran men think that the reward for killing Jews is future sex with tight-vaginad-virgins. Any REAL man knows that rewards come from love/family, not from virgins nor from killing Israeli hostages.
