  1. One would think it would be easier to just sell PQP at $1 each. At most it should be $4000 if they qualified for Gold with just 16 PQF and $7000 PQP, and need $4000 additional PQP for Platinum. Unless, of course, we should have a bigger value for getting PQP without having to sit in a United aircraft.

  2. Looks like you cant buy up to GS. I tried with my account and I wasn’t eligible for the offer. Due to my work I had double the PQP and Flights required for 1K last year. Was hoping to see a big bonus like they did last year based on my spend.

  3. Eh…. who are we kidding? EVERY broad LOVES a good, stout smack on the a$$ every once in a while….. they liked to be kept in line! It gets their juices flowin’!

  4. @Scotty, my understanding is that you need 40-50k depending on the city and your history. And most of it should be J tickets, not those deep discount P or Z first/business fares. A few personal trips in cheaper fare classes won’t hurt though.

  5. “For molest, the man may be jailed up to two years, or fined, or caned, or any combination of the penalties. ”

For slapping someone on the buttock, you get caned. An eye for an eye!

  6. $10.4k from Plat to 1K. Not sure that would be worth it even if PP were confirmable at time of booking. Might as well just spend the $$ to buy up to C/F rather than play upgrade lottery. Maybe I undervalue pre-boarding LOL

  7. @Boraxo, It’s the free drink and boxed snack in coach that makes it worthwhile/s. The PlusPoints *might* be worthwhile, but only if you are planning international travel this year. You can buy a lot of upgrades for 10k, and they will clear when you spend the money, and it will count as 2022 PQP, so there’s that.
