A tornado struck Antalya airport in Turkey today and it was captured on film heading across the airport “travelling between international Terminal 1 and the threshold of runway 18C.”
The storm manages to move “a Corendon Airlines Boeing 737 Max 8, an Onur Air Airbus, and another 737 in the colours of tour operator Detur.” Airport buses and other vehicles were overturned.
Want to see something even crazier? Watch this sand storm overtake the Amman, Jordan airport.
As is typical, the videographer was so consumed with the action, he forgot to keep the camera focused on the tornado for a few seconds.
Even though it was a small twister, it had a powerful punch.
Do airports do a FOD walk after an event like this?
Wow I was just there yesterday
Wonder if there was anyone in the planes and busses that “moved” ?
That’s hardly a tornado, you know… .
