Watch: Delta Passenger Assaults Police Officer At LAX After Being Denied Boarding

A Delta Air Lines passenger was denied boarding in Los Angeles and police say that “he was too drunk” to fly. He didn’t like that idea. And he showed it by “punching an officer in the chest.” The man was reportedly arrested and charged with battery of a police officer.

The man was headed to New York JFK when he was prevented from boarding his aircraft. According to an airport official, Delta gate agents determined he was “too intoxicated to fly.”

Police were summoned to escort the man from the airline’s terminal. He “became verbally abusive at the departure gate” and then had a “moment of rage” before punching an officer’s chest.

The man was then tackled by the officer, with another member of law enforcement joining. The man declares “you ruined my whole f[…] day, bro, now I have to travel a whole other day … it [f—-] sucks, dude.” Eventually the man was handcuffed and taken from the airport in a wheelchair.

  2. Happy new year. Many passengers flying today have a permabuzz from last year. I wonder if this Delta passenger was overserved in the Delta SkyClub at LAX Terminal 2 Mezzanine Level?

    He can look forward to the New Delta Sky Club® Opening in Spring 2022 with new state-of-the-art premium enhancements, including a year-round outdoor Sky Deck, access to both terminals, and more.

  5. Delta, as well as other airlines, tries to observe if a guest in the lounge is “over-served” and will cut the passenger off. They can and do sometimes miss the observations. His “I’m gonna have to “travel on another day” is the least of his worries. He won’t fly on Delta, that’s for sure. With any luck, the other airlines will ban him too. Too bad…well maybe not…he wasn’t aboard the aircraft. Then it becomes a federal offense. LOCK THE BASTARD UP and DRAIN HIS BANK ACCOUNT with fines.

  8. Why Biden and FAA allow this to continue is beyond me. I’ve written before about a solution: Any pax physically or verbally abusing employees and /or other pax would be subject to:
    1. Mandatory 14 days jail. No bail.
    2. A fine not to exceed $20,000
    3. Permanently barred from entering any USA airport
    4. Lifetime ban from flying on any commercial airline.
    This would not eliminate the problem but would tamp it down considerably. Plus we won’t have to worry about encountering these fools again.
