News and notes from around the interweb:
- Low cost carrier dumps passengers 200 miles from their destination as a general rule it’s never a good idea to fly a Bill Franke airline. (HT: Donald W)
- What we know about Covid-19 transmission on planes less likely, does happen, greatest risk inside the airport, during boarding and deplaning (without APU on to benefit from more protective environment). Masks help, but low quality masks do not. Now that there’s no mandate yo can provide yourself incredibly effective protection with a P100 or N95 mask and it can even have a vent…
- Was all the drama over 5G and altimeters really a dispute over just $30 million?
- The story behind Statusmatch.com
- Trolling an airline with Powerpoint – and twitter- to track down a lost bag
Hi @AerLingus – perhaps a PowerPoint presentation on the journey you’ve sent my lost/stolen bag on will help?
I’ve told you multiple times where it is and you’re doing nothing about it.

- Plane flips over while waiting on runway at Las Vegas airport
There have been no studies since March 2020 when nobody had any immunity? How is this data relevant to today?
DaveS – It isn’t.
The airlines have actively sought to continue the lie that flying in planes during covid is perfectly safe. Plain logic makes clear that sitting in a metal tube for hours with lots of people very close to you isn’t the smartest idea when trying to avoid an aerosol-transmitted disease, despite how many air changes per hour they claim.
Thank you for sharing information from someone who is educated, trained and experienced in epidemiology and public health.
DaveS, most of the studies referenced in the article were performed after March 2020 including one that was published last month.
At least Wizz left their passengers in the right country!
