Since 1978, when ACARS was first deployed, airlines have been able to communicate with their aircraft in a telex format. Flight crews can respond using this system as well.
The system can be used both for serious operational needs, and just to update crewmembers on situations on the ground – a sports score or in the case of what’s believed to be a Brussels Airlines flight departing Manchester, U.K., an item that a crewmember left behind in their hotel room.
The crew hotel notified the airline of a sex toy left behind in one of their rooms. It was the property’s attempt to be proactive with lost and found. The airline, equally helpful, let the cabin crew know right away that they’d be able to claim their missing item.
Hi from crew watch. We just received a call from the hotel in MAN they found a 25cm dildo in one of the crew rooms can you let them know it can b collected at ops later.

The most striking thing about the incident is that someone actually measured the missing item to find that it was about 10 inches long. There’s no information, however, about its width or color.
fake
someone might as well just go buy a broom stick lol
On my way
After dealing with rude customers, crying babies, filthy bathrooms and overly energetic children, you need a way to release all that stress before they get on another flight and deal with it all over again. I am surprised it is not 20 inches and motorized. At least they are not using alcohol or drugs to deal with the stress of working as a flight crew.
Now this is true thought leadership… you’ve outdone yourself once again
I got a good laugh thank you! 🙂
Hoax
They left a “member” of the crew behind?
A pilot can type whatever they want on ACARS and print it. It doesn’t mean it was actually sent by ops. Flight crews do it all the time to cabin crews to mess with them – printing out fake notes like crew scheduling extended your day.
Surely the hotel knew which crew member was in which room, making such a request unnecessary?
I needed a good laugh this morning….
