  1. Mark Ross-Smith has lost all credibility when he teased on Twitter that he had made a breakthrough in the airline status match game, and that he would unveil it at 9am Pacific the next morning. It turned out to be the awful Frontier status “match” that people have to pay for. Utterly low class clown. Anybody with IQ higher than the cost of 2 checked bags should disregard the pronouncements of Mark Ross-Smith for the rest of his career in this industry. Hasn’t he heard of Underpromise, Overdeliver? Apparently not. Does he know there are professional Communications, Marketing, and PR agencies that specialize in teasers that do not result in laughable shame? Apparently not or he was swindled into hiring a bottom-shelf firm, of which there are sadly many in business, but it would again speak to Mark’s poor judgment for retaining such a firm.

Mark Ross-Smith’s LinkedIn post is broken into such bite size paragraphs as to be offensive to anyone with an attention span longer than the yellow light cycle in a suburb that has just installed a red light camera. This style of LinkedIn post is known by all educated 18-45 year old professionals as “cringe,” and it’s another marker of wanton low class and a signal that the author has no substance–only fustian.

Mark Ross-Smith is such an insufferable businessperson with no class or intellect.

  2. The parallel is welcoming Concierge Key before Group 1. There are CKs like 1 in 15 flights? I am but a Group 1 plebe. I am simply in awe of a category made up of no ones.

  3. Does anyone know. @gary
I am traveling with my family but in order to get eligible for a upgrade I have to separate myself and one child into a separate record locator. As I am executive platinum and we are all traveling together will they still get free luggage etc at checkin, when they check-in with me and we link the record locators together…
    Thank you!

  4. What about using the free Shop Runner 2-day shipping benefit that comes with platinum for your Saks orders under $50?

  5. The link about the Saks shipping doesn’t work. Does this mean the free shipping with ShopRunner is going away too?

  6. It’s amazing how much money airlines make on priority boarding FEES; millions. And yet people are gullible, they will pay up. The airplane won’t leave until we are all on board so don’t pay extra for this.
