This Woman is Amazing: Facebook Lives As She Gets Kicked Off Spirit Airlines

Earlier this month a woman was kicked off of a Spirit Airlines flight from Atlanta to Las Vegas. And she Facebook Live’d the experience, amassing nearly 4 million views.

Say says she doesn’t cuss after dropping numerous profanities. She tells everyone they should be flying Delta. And she calls Spirit ‘terrorists’. The video isn’t safe for work. But it’s hilarious. She even has a tangent discussing trip protection and whether Spirit is named after Jesus.

During the video, Allen goes on a tirade against the airline, stating, “Y’all going to use Jesus’ name, the Holy Spirit? That’s got to change, y’all need to be called something else. Y’all need to change y’all name because nothing Holy Spirit about this airline.”

..”I’m not getting off this plane to negotiate with no terrorists,” Allen says. “Cause clearly, they’re the terrorists. They’re terrorizing me in my own country.”

Here’s the video:

The airline deplanes all passengers from the aircraft since this woman wouldn’t leave. That’s the new standard procedure instead of having police drag someone off the aircraft in a post-David Dao world.

The video comes to an end as officers escort the woman out of the plane. She later posted to Facebook apologizing to other passengers. Reading through her Facebook page she did make it to Vegas and had a fantastic time there.

  1. Dear Gary,
I am puzzled as to why you would offer this woman a platform to exhibit poor behavior that impacted a plane full of passengers and describe her as amazing. Rarely, do I feel the need to leave a comment but this post really has me questioning your judgement or rather the direction of your blog. Perhaps I should show this tomorrow during my Mother’s Day Brunch as a tribute to her poor behavior and lack of concern for the other 100 or so passengers inconvenienced by her “Amazing” behavior. I, for one, hope I never have such an “Amazing” passenger on one of my flights.

  2. Where’s the No Fly list when you need it? Yet another reason to hate social media. Sigh.

  3. “Say says she doesn’t cuss after dropping numerous profanities. She tells everyone they should be flying Delta. And she calls Spirit ‘terrorists’.”

Please, please, please, for the love of god, have someone review these posts so they can fix the two typos in these sentences….

  4. Why do we continue to give greedance to people who want their 15 minutes of fame when they do not deserve it. Poor behaviour does not warrant 4 million viewers. Shame on us….

  5. Bloggers that make money from these types of posts can expect to be sued, as well as banned from the larger website hosts that could be considered willing participants, especially if they profit from the web traffic. Yep, it will be a very hot day in h311 after the lawyers start asking about your finances and how much you made because your video went viral at their clients expense. Airlines are dealing with 1,000,000+ real customers per day, and they have enough headaches. Try to defame their brand with a staged non-event, and your lottery winnings will show up in their bottom line. And the likes of facebook or Google, dependent on customers like airlines, will make you digitally disappear now that they have created the ultimate dump button which, I believe, their customers asked for. Be careful what you wish for.

  6. This is sad, and the fact that you reported on it in the manner you did is even sadder.
I understand being up set with a lot of the problems with flights at the airport but this is BEYOND.
These people know they can get away with this and just want a law suit, not the 15 min of fame. But a law suit they can sink their teeth into. She tried to get the flight attendants, the pilot, the airline reps and the police officer to come at her so she could get the law suit of a life time. Please don’t show these people and their sad behavior again.

  7. As a frequent flyer, this video was fascinating for it’s example of how these types of situations are presently being handled and de-escalated. The professionalism was exemplary, even from the pilots and the crew. And even the restraint shown by her fellow passengers was impressive. I’m glad you shared this interesting footage. And I, for one, laughed out loud at some of her one-liners, maybe because I can sympathize, having recently missed a flight along with 15 other people because there were no AA agents at the gate 15 minutes before the flight was to depart, after LGA decided TSA Precheck wasn’t necessary from 5-6:30 am in Terminal B.
