Through December 5, DirecTV is offering 25,000 American AAdvantage miles for new customers.
Customers who have been with DirecTV within the past 24 months are ineligible.
Miles are awarded 6-8 weeks after passing 60 days of service.
They advertise packages from “$34.99/mo. for 12 months after rebate” and packages generally entail a 24 month commitment. Interestingly, no credit card is required in Massachusetts and Pennsylvania. State laws are weird sometimes.
How’s the customer service and quality of this provider?
Nice offer.Just hesitant to deal with them!
What other hidden costs, taxes and so on lurk?
Thanks All
If only their internet didn’t suck!
I just did this offer a month ago. I was enticed by the miles and the free NFL sunday ticket for this season. But I am slightly regretting it because of the 24 month contract and my future is really up in the air. It is minimum $45/mo if you get a digital receiver and will go even higher in year 2 when the rebates expire. I haven’t dealt with customer service yet so couldn’t tell ya.
What if I can’t commit to 24 months?? I might move to an condo where cable is included and will no longer need this. How much is the early termination fee?
I use DirectTV, better than Comcast but some in my area prefer Verizon Fios… (I use Verizon internet)
Although the email for this offer (which has been ongoing for awhile) says it expires December 5, the page to which it links still says October 3. Go figure.
@Travel Lover: early termination fee is $20 per month
