There’s been lots of discussion first about the Citi Prestige card signup bonus likely changing after today, and also about other changes to the product itself.
For instance, I wrote that starting late next June Prestige cardholders will no longer get access to American Airlines lounges.
Putting Green, American Airlines Club Austin
Citi confirms this change, and tells me that – contra the statement on the Citi.com site saying that access would be available through June 20, 2017 (and thus would not be available starting June 21), we may actually get an extra month on this benefit:
Over the coming weeks, Citi will be communicating to our Citi Prestige cardmembers that the Admirals Club lounge benefit will no longer be available as of July 23, 2017.
Cardmembers will still have complimentary and unlimited access to over 850 Priority PassTM Select Lounges and Citi® Proprietary Lounges and we continue to explore ways to enhance the Citi Prestige experience.
It’s also been reported by Doctor of Credit that new cardmembers would not be receiving double points on dining.
The card earns triple points on airfare and hotel and double points on dining and entertainment.
And in fact will be no change to the ThankYou Points earn structure of the card. The card will continue to offer the same double and triple points categories. And the ‘entertainment’ category remains super broad.
Citi proprietary lounges?
^^^What this person said. What?
Oh boy! Are these “Citi Proprietary Lounges” a hint at what’s to come?
Citi going to have their own version of Centurion lounges? What!?
Others beat me to it . . . Gary, any idea what these proprietary lounges are? Are we reading too much into this?
If it is meant to hint at a Centurion competitor, it would be interesting to know where they’d plan on putting these.
How do you explain the lack of 2x on dining on this photo though?

They’ll have to open a few lounges and show me quality before I bite on this card…
Stay thirsty, my friends.
@Vic 2x on dining isn’t being highlighted there. My source on this is good.
Gary, any word on whether the AF will be dropping to $350 for those who apply online? And if so, would current cardholders be locked in at $450?
I have no information about changes to annual fee
when will the annual fee go down to $350 as indicated in this picture?

Proprietary lounges are probably Citigold lounges at a few international airports: http://www.citibank.com/czech/gcb/citigold/english/benifits/citigold-lounge.htm
I think these predates even Amex Centurion lounges but I could be wrong on that.
I don’t think there will be change in annual fee – this is an ad for CitiGold members and they always paid 350.
Also looks like Citi Prestige will now offer 1.6 redemption on all airlines, not just American. Much better deal than getting stuck trying to book AA.
Andrew, where did you hear about 1.6 TY redemption on all airlines? I’d read that Prestige might reduce the AA benefit from 1.6 to 1.3, so extending 1.6 to all airlines sounds great – source?
@Gary, what about alleged changes to redeeming points for AA travel, eliminating golf benefit, and changes to 4th night free benefit?
