I noticed there is some great business class fare on LOT polish 787 to the Balkans, such as BEG/TIA/SKP. It seems to be good for United qualification.
Indeed, you can fly Chicago – Belgrade as low as $1602 roundtrip in business class. Here’s one with about a day in Warsaw on the return:
This is a $495 base fare each way plus taxes and $487.60 in fuel surcharges.
Most days and destinations are higher, $1778 or $1953.
But sub-$2000 business class is available most days through end of schedule.
That’s about half the cost of just flying to Warsaw roundtrip.
Star Alliance member LOT Polish flies Boeing 787s with fully flat seats between New York JFK and Warsaw as well as Chicago O’Hare and Warsaw. It’s not all-aisle access the way American Airlines is on their 787s, but I’d rate the seat as being as good as United’s fully flat 787 product.
Preemptive strike against Air Serbia before their transatlantic route even launches?
