News and notes from around the interweb:
- American Airlines pilots union board unanimously rejects bonus pay for the holidays for its members which, they say, somehow gives them leverage in their ongoing contract negotiations. They seem to be doing their best Cleavon Little impression from Blazing Saddles thinking Robert Isom and Jerry Glass are the townspeople of Rock Ridge.
- Hyatt Globalist requalification challenge available on request
- Marriott isn’t the only one whose hotels are listed on Airbnb. Here’s a Hyatt Place whose listing appears to undercut Hyatt.com pricing. $85 per night at Airbnb vs. rates ~ $120 for ‘Member Advance Purchase’ through Hyatt. (HT: Jonathan W.)
- “I’m sorry that it seems harsh that the government should have to come forth with evidence before they take away people’s money at the airport,” said the judge as a passenger whose life savings was stolen by the government at airport security in Phoenix tries to get his money back. (HT: @crucker)

@mikepgregory My favorite postion? Galley. 😉 ##flightattendant ##cabincrew
I don’t know what contracts they have, but it makes sense in principle that they would want to sell a room through another channel at a discount rather than have it snapped up by someone who might have paid full price anyway through the regular channel. I currently hold a reservation for a Radisson Blu overseas that I made through airbnb.
I’m beyond shocked that civil forfeiture isn’t a bigger issue.
The problem is it’s too bipartisan. Government officials on both sides love the power and revenue it gives them. The general public is either oblivious or against it without any idea how to oppose it.
Can someone please start a troll farm pushing the idea that Trump or Soros (doesn’t matter which one) is a huge fan of civil forfeiture. At least that way people will pay attention to the issue.
@Ryan
It is a big issue for conservatives but 99% of elected Republicans on a national level or Republican appointed judges are establishment people who are bought and paid for. Naive conservatives think it is the ccp when it’s the same group it’s been for 100 years. It doesn’t make sense but nothing ever does. Nearly every law cops enforce is a leftist law yet Republican leaders tell us to support law enforcement. It’s not logical.
People like AOC and the Somali one (IDK her name) oppose civil asset forfeiture as well but for different reasons. They don’t have a problem with leftists telling conservatives via leftist democracy (slavery) what they can and can’t do with their own bodies and property but they have a problem with government taking money from non white minorities at airports.
Just like with the GOP, the Dem establishment is owned by the same group.

I give you full credit for this one! (sorry @Jackass Waterson got involved)
@Ray
Gracias. I just assumed Jackson was submitting his resume to work for the troll farm.
Yes Ryan I pray your idea takes off (no pun intended). This is a bad law that needs to go away…..
I know I’m going to regret this but:
Really Waterson? When conservatives invented and can’t let go of telling women what to do with their bodies!!??
“People like AOC and the Somali one”
Google would help save you from exposing your racism quite so blatantly. Rep. Omar is an American, and unless you describe Mitch McConnell as “the Scottish one” you’re just being a biased twerp.
I am waiting to see how the government engineers these cash grabs once bitcoin and other virtual currencies become mainstream and paper money disappears. How then will the cops finance their shopping sprees at DoD yard sales?
43 year old man wants a cup of apple juice!! Priceless
Truck drivers need bitcoin too. Regarding surprises, I’m surprised there’s not more violent retaliation when wronged so egregiously.
