@catatonicxx #greenscreen ♬ original sound – kylie - A Congressman has vowed to fight harsher penalties for people who bring guns through TSA checkpoints but here’s an interesting case. A California Assemblyman, who is running for Sacramento Sheriff, brought a gun with him to the checkpoint at Sacramento’s airport. The Sheriff’s office was called and they held the gun for him while he went on his trip.
Here’s the interesting wrinkle: there’s a legal exception in California state law for retired law enforcement to bring guns to the airport, it’s not clearly illegal unless they actually bring those weapons on the plane. Maybe this is a good place to begin the crackdown..? (HT: Paul H.)

No #PDB on LGA-DFW , but the Dallas-based FC FA was great; she was a trip highlight. The toasted nuts delicious, and a much welcomed entree change by @AmericanAir. I enjoyed everything on the tray, the broccoli salad accompaniment in particular. pic.twitter.com/IWQmZPk26h

Amazing facts about Japan!
The most unhinged Airbnb host? Nah, not even close, sadly. A substantial number of Airbnb hosts have Terry’s entitled, insufferable, personality.
Look, if I’m a guest staying in your home because of your generosity, I will go above and beyond to clean up after myself. I will be grateful for all your amenities. But if I’m paying to stay with you, then we have a business relationship not a personal one, and I will keep my space tidy to a reasonable degree (presuming you are charging me a cleaning fee), and I will be well within reason to comment respectfully in public reviews that your appliances (or whatnot) could use an upgrade.
@ Gary — Thank you for the post about Japan. I have a huge smile on my face right now. The Japanese are my favorite people in the world. Why can’t we all just get along!? I can’t wait to go back to Japan.
@Gary – I recently lost my ID at DCA. Found out via FB DM someone found it and gave it to an AAgent. 30 days later, AA closed the case, they can’t find it. No phone number, no direct email – AA Lost and Found is awful.
Given all of the issues with Airbnb and the fact it has a hush-up team that spends tens of millions of dollars to keep things quiet, why would anyone want to stay at one?
If only the whole World were more like the Japan of today….
