News and notes from around the interweb:
- Do you wear sunglasses in the airport?
I recommend wearing sunglasses in the airport before a flight. It helps you sleep on the plane, and some people think you must be a celebrity, which really brightens up their day.

- Too priceless for words. What’s a more avgeek-y debate than whether Newark is a New York airport? The federal government’s anti-trust analysis claiming consumers are harmed by American Airlines and JetBlue partnering only looked at New York JFK and LaGuardia, ignoring Newark as a New York airport. Ironically United, the primary proponent of the claim that Newark is a New York City airport, needs the claim that it isn’t to be true in order for the government to limit competition against Delta and United.

All they’re saying so far is that they are ending Take 3, Lucky 7 and Go Long bonuses at the end of the year, and eliminating the ability to spend miles to upgrade from ‘regular Mint’ to ‘Mint Studio’.
- Wilmington, Delaware is an airport you serve when you want to claim your airline serves all 50 states even though no one actually wants to fly there. Nonetheless, Avelo plans to give it a try.
