With the American Express Membership Rewards 30% transfer bonus to British Airways ending August 31, Chase is picking up the mantle. They’re offering a 30% bonus on transfers to British Airways and fellow Avios airlines Iberia and Aer Lingus through September 22, in addition to their less valuable Marriott transfer bonus which continues through September 30.

Generally speaking you’ll find value,

• Booking short distance flights using British Airways
  
• Booking Qatar Airways flights using British Airways, or transferring points from BA (or Aer Lingus or Iberia) into Qatar’s Privilege Club provided you have an eligible open, active account with Qatar
  
• Redeeming Iberia’s points for Iberia business class between the U.S. and Madrid starting at just 34,000 points each way (27,000 Chase points transfers to 35,100 Iberia Avios with this offer).

I wouldn’t proactively move Chase points to one of these airlines without specific redemption plans. The flexibility of keeping your points with Chase is too great, BA is a partner of several other transfer currencies, and there will almost certainly be more offers in the future. However this is one to keep top of mind as you search for award space over the next three weeks.
