David Brooks drinking and writing again, this time about his less than $20 meal while leaving out about his over priced dinking habit. Sounds about right. He is never good at telling the whole story.
On the other hand that is a lovely obituary about a fine lady who lived life well in Hawaii. We should all be remembered so well.
My latest Delta luggage tags came in the mail this week. I’ll have to give the postman extra money not to tell the neighbors. If they find out, I’ll explain to them it’s purely accidental and no I don’t have a Delta credit card. I want to make sure they know I’m smarter than that.
So, a single shot of whisky was $20.80. Hope it was a good selection.
Honestly though, people who continue to satisfy their hunger and thirst in airport terminals must be gluttons for punishment. It’s about the equivalent to tying yourself to a whipping post at a sadistic fantasy camp and then wondering why you left with welts on your body.
Friend saw a small plane clip some high tension lines and flip/crash on Lake Hickory the other week. That might be a part of this…
And I’m sure David Brooks complains about people not trusting reporters…
It’s easy to avoid overpriced liquor at airports — just don’t indulge.
