The new Chase Sapphire Reserve® (See rates and fees) now comes with IHG One Rewards Platinum status, and cardmembers who spend $75,000 on the card in a year receive top tier Diamond status (as well as Southwest Airlines status).
That’s not the only status available to Sapphire Reserve cardmembers, however – aside from status match opportunities that those offers may open up! – because there’s also a new offer of Gold status from Marriott.
Reserve has promotion for Marriott Gold membership

This isn’t promoted as a benefit of the card because instead of an ongoing offer, it’s a promotion you can register for.
- Gold status lasts 3 months, and if you stay 3 qualifying paid nights during that period it’ll be valid through February 2027.
- You must be a new member, not yet have status or have only Silver to be eligible.
- Promotion is available July 1 – September 30, 2025
- Award nights don’t count
Marriott Gold’s primary benefit is avoiding the worst room in the house and 2 p.m. late checkout at eligible properties. While this status is not an ongoing feature of th card, we’ve seen it before.
