Las Vegas has been a hot place to expand for the major chains, largely by cutting deals with existing playuers. Hyatt has MGM, Starwood has Caesars, and IHG has the Venetian and Palazzo. Or do they?
Intecontinental-affiliated resorts in Las Vegas Venetian and Palazzo have plenty of availability on their own websites.
However, neither hotel has any availability at all (revenue or award) any night of the year through end of schedule when booking through IHG. (HT: Sean R.)
This has persisted for several days.
Earlier in the week I reached out to IHG and was told ‘technical glitch’ that had been resolved. Only it wasn’t resolved. They told me the glitch was back. And as of now, you still cannot book either hotel via IHG.
Hopefully this is just technical, but technical issues often make me nervous.
Yawn….Vegas sucks, so I really dont care, even as a Royal Ambassador….I’ll just have to be tortured by ny husband subjecting me to Britney Spears somewhere else…. 🙂
Unless it’s a fight night(when points room would likely not be available anyway), these two properties are booked with Express Deals from Priceline. They usually run anywhere from $90 to $150. 50,000 points is too many.
I never understood.why ihg is so weak in certain markets like Vegas or.hawaii. Oh well there’s always the Excalibur for like $20 lately.
Palazzo is very nice. Can’t wait to go back.
My guess would be a glitch. I found award nights when I searched roughly a week and a half ago.
I was able to book the Venetian online last Tuesday using my annual free night award
Seems like this glitch is happening again.. .for a couple weeks now
