- United isn’t the only airline that thinks its customers are over-entitled. In Frontier’s case, it’s like a disconnect between their very recent full service model and the current ultra low cost carrier model they’re pursuing. Customers may not understand what they are getting up front, the way they increasingly do with Spirit Airlines.
- Priority Pass now lets you access lounges with a smart phone app
- Lufthansa First Class Terminal unveils new ducks.
- Barclays now requires a social security number and date of birth to add an authorized user to a credit card account.
- French discount airline Transavia replied to a porn star’s tweet asking about her flight’s delay with, “Flight is scheduled for 14.30. It’s just that with you, we prefer when it lasts longer. Have a good day.” This reply was unpopular. (HT: Barbara Woolsey)
- EVA Air signed a letter of intent to purchase up to 24 Boeing 787-10 and 2 Boeing 777-300ER aircraft in addition to the 15 777-300ERs they already have on order. Let’s hope that means more Hello Kitty jets.
