Here’s the Flyertalk discussion.
bmi is following British Airways’ lead, allowing you to pool miles from pre-registered accounts. This option begins December 1, you can link up to 8 accounts, and they don’t require that family accounts actually share an address. Moreover, even those under 18 can now join bmi Diamond Club is they’re a member of a family account.
bmi is also changing their space available upgrades to electronic confirmed upgrades, valid on any fare and on bmi flights only, exercisable within 7 days of departure.
Definitely positive changes!
What’s their Best Sign-Up Offer These days? I know at least a matter of days/weeks ago they had like a 7,000 Mile SignUp Offer… Anyone have that link?
Keep an eye in the forum thread at http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/bmi-diamond-club/780259-join-dc-bonus-9-5-4-5-3-1-5k-miles-prize-lounge-pass-blue-status.html
There are 4 different offers on with different qualifications for them (ranging from 1k to 5k)
The days of 9k/Free Blue+ are over…
… for now.
Is there anyway, desides flying to transfer points into bmi?
I looked SPG and Amex membership rewards and have not found the ability.
Upside: There must be many whole *families* with multiple accounts, thanks to all the joining promos. [Insert winking smiley.] This will allow for maximizing the long-haul benefits of dc.
Downside: For every consolidated account, there goes the opportunity for the multiplying the questionnaire bonuses along the way. (Better to note this here than on FlyerTalk’s dc board. No? Maybe better not to note it at all… If you think so, Gary, then *poof* this.)
Anyway — so what’s the take-away? Keep your multiple accounts, take the surveys etc., and consolidate when you want to take that exotic long-haul.
Or… Use it when you want to take United one-way to anywhere. But that’s nothing new.
is there any way to undo family membership? two people in my family have declared themselves as heads of the family, and now it is impossible to transfer miles. what should i do?
