  1. It’s a great deal but my travel is already scheduled out past April. These deals are always too limited for me to use.

  2. OK, but try getting a same-day westbound return from most European points via LIS to the States. The way the TAP schedules work, most of the ex-LIS TATLs depart before most of the first feeder flights of the day from other European stations arrive. So you have to work the cost of a 22-hour LIS layover into your travel plan.

  3. Could not find anything out of SFO to any Euro destinations. Sort of a nothing burger. Hope someone else scores on this though. Great deal if you can find something!

  4. @Tom

There is a late afternoon flight to IAD that usually works well for most morning departures around European cities. It’s on an A321 but still decent and usually allows for a two hour connection in LIS. Only problem is that it arrives in IAD after most banks of flights depart on UA elsewhere, unless close by east coast locations. Living in Washington though it’s very useful for me, and always the cheapest J option last minute, even one way.

  5. Maybe these got snatched up quickly, almost everything is now pricing out at $2,500+, although I’m seeing some of these fares in fall 2024, well outside of the promo date range. Even SFO is pricing at $1700 rt in Aug/Sep.

  6. Scratch my earlier comment about flights in Aug/Sep, Google Flights error. Not really seeing anything worthwhile at this point without a lot of digging.

  7. On TAP Portugal last summer we landed in Lisbon from London. The electricity went out in the airport for a few hours so we couldn’t exit immigration.
Later that summer TAP suffered multiple hacks by the Ragnar Locker ransomware gang and my data was exfiltrated.
Ah, TAP, the star of the Star Alliance.

  8. Was this for limited number of seats? Tried to book business Dulles to Lisbon May 10 – 24th and getting $3,000+, not $1,549.
