Amazing Luxury Auction Deals You Can Steal, and Giving Away a 3 Night Suite Stay in New York!

Luxury Travel Diary, a high-end travel blog with great reviews based in the UK, has a bunch of travel auctions — some about to close, others extend into October — and there look to be some real bargains.

They wanted to highlight some of these, and offered to help organize a giveaway of a 3 night hotel stay in a suite at a top property in New York for readers of this blog. Details on how to comment on this post to win below.

I suppose that folks who already know about these auctions won’t like the added attention, because frankly there aren’t enough bidders relative to the value of the offerings and some of these items go too cheap.

Here’s an auction ending in 3 days for a private jet flight between New York and California – a transcon – going for 1000 British pounds as of this writing. There’s no minimum/reserve price, which is ridiculous.

Or 3 nights in St. Barts for 103 pounds as I write this:

There’s page after page of auctions to scroll through, generally nice places that appear to be selling for less than they should.

Prize: a three-night stay in a terrace suite at The William New York – subject to availability with no blackouts.

The property is currently rated 11 out of 189 ‘specialty lodging’ options on TripAdvisor, with 4.5 stars.

  7. I would want to stay in The William for its upscale, modern decor, private terrace and gourmet dining on site. Plus, it has easy walking access to Bryant Park and other surrounding attractions!

  32. We’re going to NYC in late Oct! I’ve never had the chance to stay in a suite in NYC, since the room at the nicer properties are already heinously expensive enough.

  35. We have always wanted to try an extended stay option in NYC. The William’s contemporary decor looks great and the terrace looks amazing. It also has a great location. Fingers crossed.

  41. Every single item is my favorite — 7 nights at Sardinia sounds wonderful! Weekend stay at Park Hyatt Buenos Aires is great! 7 nights skiing in Italy! Give me two!
