American’s Club Lounges Now Have Impossible Burgers and Mac and Cheese Bars

Chicago O’Hare, Miami, Los Angeles and Dallas Fort-Worth have Impossible Burgers for purchase at $12. There’s also made-to-order ramen (“the Ramen Bowl shredded carrots, green onion, tomato and ramen noodles are prepared in the kitchen and warmed with the vegan lemongrass broth”) and some clubs lave local Destination Dishes on the Food for Sale menu.

The new “build-your-own mac and cheese stations…have a host of topping options, including onions, bacon and crushed chili cheese Fritos.” Mac and cheese bars are something I’ve seen in Delta Sky Clubs and they’re quite popular. Mac and cheese is available at:

  • Boston
  • Charlotte B club
  • Dallas Fort-Worth A and D concourses
  • New York JFK
  • New York LaGuardia
  • Miami D15 and D30 clubs
  • Chicago O’Hare HK club
  • Phoenix A6 and B6 clubs
  • Philadelphia BC club

Not quite as new, but some clubs now offer complimentary breakfast tacos. And gluten free bread is now offered ‘on request’ at all Admirals Clubs.

  1. I tried it today. That is some cheap Mac and cheese. Delta’s when they have it is amazing. This tastes next level of processed food.

  2. Given this latest, I wonder how close AA’s Parker is with DL’s ex-CEO Anderson (now at AMTRAK), as they appear to running helter shelter down parallel tracks to ensure the destruction of their F&B program’s?

AA ignores competition; Amtrak desperately clings to its self-defined monopoly.

  3. Sadly at LGA, the mac and cheese bar has come at the expense of soups at least when I was there. I asked the staff recently and they said no soups, not even one.

  4. Oh goody another one of 100 reasons to avoid flying American
I buy first class tickets and economy almost anywhere but American because I can’t stand most of what they do in decision making
    Always negative
I would return if they dump Parker and go back to running a solid program like they once did without phantom availability
    Probably won’t happen

  5. Can they please get some new cheese? I swear those cubed cheese have been the same for 10 years!!!

  6. AA clubs are far above the best in the US. If they could transfer that service to inflight, regardless of no IFE or seat spacing, they would give DL a run for their money.

  7. @sunviking82- Delta SkyClubs are clearly better than American Admirals Clubs. United Polaris lounges are clearly better than American Flagship lounges. SO help me understand what you mean by “AA clubs are far above the best in the US”?

  8. I had the Mac and Cheese last week in PHL and it was vile, the absolute worst imaginable. Do yourself a favor and stick with the guacamole.
