- Hilton DoubleTree cookie baked in space lands in Smithsonian
The world’s first food item baked in space, the cookie debuted on display at the National Air and Space Museum’s Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, Virginia on Wednesday (May 8). Made from a similar recipe to the chocolate chip treats given to guests staying at DoubleTree by Hilton hotels, the cookie has been preserved as close to the condition it was in when it came out of a specially-designed microgravity oven on the International Space Station in November 2019.
Hilton published the cookie recipe in April 2020 so people could make them at home, since no one was staying at hotels back then. Here’s George Clooney and Vera Farmiga in Up In The Air discussing the check-in cookie.

@gmonique_132 #southwest ♬ original sound – Mo G - American Airlines flight attendants who took early retirement during the pandemic are suing claiming they were tricked by the company saying there wouldn’t be a better voluntary early retirement offer later, and that the early pandemic policy of banning mask-wearing pressured them to leave. There’s already been a similar suit dismissed, and retirees waived all claims when they took the early outs.
The right to travel ruling doesn’t change anything. Sure you have a right in the US to travel and this was specifically focused on state abortion travel restrictions. However this doesn’t mean you have the right to fly on an airline (if they add you to no fly list) or even to set foot in an airport. There are many ways to travel (car, bus, ship, by foot) and the ruling is simply validating the right to travel among states, not requiring any form of travel.
The right to travel is a stealth move to allow more vicious dogs onto the airplanes .
Motorized carry-on luggage is available. It may or may not meet flight requirements. It sure would beat walking long distances in many cases.
The sovereign citizens will have a field day with the right to travel.
