Brand New Miami Turkish Airlines Lounge Open to Priority Pass

There’s a new Miami Turkish Airlines lounge, and it accepts Priority Pass. And it’s accessible to passengers of several airlines, especially oneworld airlines like American.

Turkish Airlines historically operated out of the J gates in Miami. However Tom Leffingwell reports that Turkish has opened a lounge on the E concourse at the Miami airport yesterday.

  • It isn’t listed on the Priority Pass website yet
  • However they’re accepting Priority Pass

Tom says, “The space, for those that remember, is where the really old MIA Flagship lounge was (downstairs near the elevator that goes to the temporarily closed AA E premium lounge). There is almost no one here. Hot food is available… Self serve bar.”

As you enter, there is a small prayer room to the right. As you continue down the hall, you’ll reach the desk where they check you in.

Past the desk is where I took photos, there is also a small business center with an iMac in a small room off to the side… There was another lounge style room to the right of the desk, I was instructed to go to the left, it was empty.

So passengers on which airlines have has access to the new Miami Turkish Airlines lounge? American Airlines operates out of the D and E concourses in Miami. The E concourse is also home to several international airlines especially from oneworld. D and E are connected inside security, and the E concourse finally has TSA PreCheck (as well as CLEAR, since E isn’t wholly controlled by American).

Hopefully the new Miami Turkish Airlines lounge won’t become as busy as the Turkish Airlines lounge at Washington Dulles.

  1. @Gary – does E now in fact have real TSA Pre? The TSA website (https://www.tsa.gov/precheck/schedule) doesn’t indicate it to be such at a few major business departure times that I searched (Monday AM, Thursday PM, etc.). When I last flew out of there they were still using the system where you get partial Pre – laptops in, shoes, on, but still have to stand in the very slow line of people with a million bags being shaken down on the way to the islands. And of course, for the same reason, CLEAR didn’t help much either…

As to the actual TK lounge, curious if it will become super crowded. On one hand, it’s a PP lounge, on the other hand it is sufficiently hard to find that maybe many won’t bother.
