Business Class Deal: Many Cities in Europe From $1943 Roundtrip

The Premium Flights site flags that all three alliances – airlines with Star Alliance, SkyTeam, and oneworld – are running great fares from New York to Europe. I’m seeing $1943 roundtrip in business class, though Premium Fares suggests some fares as low as “starting at 1635$.”

These are available to:

  • Brussels
  • Amsterdam
  • Barcelona
  • Madrid
  • Milan
  • Rome
  • Lisbon
  • Vienna

These aren’t oddball connections, these prices are available across airlines and on non-stops. In fact noting that British Airways is available suggests that their regular discounts may be applicable.

Here’s a sample American Airlines non-stop between New York JFK and Milan.

While fare details vary slightly by airline, these details are roughly common:

  • Outbound travel permitted April 6-8, April 11-16, July 22 – August 19
  • Return travel permitted April 7-18, August 9 – September 6
  • 7 day minimum stay
  • Must travel outbound Tuesday – Friday
  • Return travel must be Sunday – Thursday
  • $500 change fee

Business class deals are a great way still to earn miles (especially when crediting to a partner program) and it’s hard to argue in favor of redeeming miles at these prices – especially in programs that add fuel surcharges to awards.

  1. Just received your post and went online.Checking Delta flights from MSP to AMS. Nothing under $2500 to $2800
Not sure where you are getting this info from, but I cannot see any deals on Delta for under $2000

  2. These are a great use of AmEx MR points, especially with the 35% rebate that comes with the Business Platinum. That makes a RT ticket ~124k MR points. The same flight (if you could find availability) would be ~115k UA/AA miles or 3.6 million SkyPesos and these fares earn miles and status.

  3. How about a follow up post with some analysis as to which airlines offers the best EQM (or perhaps EQP) and the related questions of which program to credit the miles to get the biggest bang for buck?

Also a bit late to the party as the same fare for SFO-CDG on UA was posted over 2 weeks ago on FT. The real question is why and when did the universe expand to other Euro destinations?

The article makes it pretty clear that the sale fares require a departure from New York.
