Just received email from Avianca advising 0 change fees on tickets AND award redemptions made between now and 31 March to and/or from Canada, US, and Europe. Same goes for travel to and/or from Chile, Italy, and China (in same class) but appears no date restrictions.
Can anyone confirm if this is travel only on Avianca, or using Lifemiles on partner awards? Thanks.
Not at AS as of this morning. They wanted to charge me $250 to cancel 2- 10k award tickets for mid April travel between two infected cities. Just trying to milk the last dime from their PAX before bankruptcy. FYI UA sent an email this morning offering to cancel anything up to a year out with no fees. AS management must be in their caves already.

I’m using UA miles to fly US-Italy next month and AA miles to get back (Dad & 2 kids-spring break) called United this morning and after 1 hour on hold was told there was still a fee to change or redeposit award travel. No waivers.
No waivers from AA either!
I got the same as @Jaymar01. Any thoughts on what the Citi change means?
Cancelled two UA miles tickets to Rome yesterday. UA charged us usual fees to rebank the miles. Cancelled an AA ticket (purchased thru AE Travel) and they told me the credit had to be used by end of June – one year after the initial booking date. Really ridiculous. It used to be the one year usage clock started on the date of cancellation. End result, we are penalized for booking early and AA will not budge on the use by date. And so the end result on my end is we will do everything possible to avoid flying AA in future.
