Comment Here And You May Win a Briggs & Riley @work Bag

I’m a Briggs & Riley fan, my usual carry on is their Baseline CX bag. They’ve made a splash over the past month with a new bag, and I’ve arranged a giveaway.

As I explained last week, I have two different Briggs & Riley bags to give away (different bags for different reasons, they’ve “got your business and leisure covered” as it were).

Last week I gave away the hot new TORQ bag.

Of course Briggs & Riley is all about functional luggage, as much as I like the look of the new bags their bread and butter is the business market epitomized by their @work line.

Which of course comes with Briggs & Riley’s unrivaled lifetime guarantee.

Here’s how you can enter to win by commenting on this post. Given the strength of reputation for their guarantee, Answer the following question in the comments:

Do you worry something is going to happen to your luggage?

Here are the rules:

  • You need to answer the above question in your comment to this blog to be entered.

  • You may enter up to once per day — and I give you a bit of slack in this, I won’t disqualify any entry as long as you don’t make more than one entry per calendar day or as long as no entry is closer than 24 hours together from another one. And if you’re close, we’re cool. I’m not looking to disqualify people, just to make sure there’s no massive ballot stuffing.

  • All entries (comments) must be received no later than Thursday, June 13 at Noon Eastern time.

  • I will draw a winner at random in the days following the close of the contest from those that meet these guidelines. Make sure you provide a valid e-mail address when entering to be eligible to win (you do not need to leave an email address in the comments, but along with your name where it asks for your email that email must be ‘real’ or I will have no way of contacting you).

  • The winner acknowledges that this is a prize and is not for resale.

  • I’m the final arbiter in all matters related to this contest and in all matters of interpretation. There is no appeal. I’m doing this because there’s an opportunity to send out a pretty cool high-end bag, and not taking anything in return, so please don’t give me a hard time in the process.

Any questions? E-mail me. And hopefully the winner will also follow up with me to let me know their impressions of the bag.

  1. I not too worried, I don’t keep anything expensive in my luggage and I can always get some clothes at my destination if I need to.

  2. I always carry on, so I never worry. My adrenaline does always spike a little though when I’m forced to gate check…

  3. I am always concerned about the possibility of damage to my checked luggage! It has happened to me in the past. Having luggage with a good guarantee would certainly give me peace of mind!

  4. I worry that my bag might get lost if I’m forced to check it. But I also secretly hope it might be a bit damaged so that I can justify getting a new bag. I love luggage!

  5. I fear the battered bag coming out, held together by copious quantities of airline plastic wrap which, on closer inspection, turns out to be mine literally fallen apart at the seams.

  6. Yes, either the baggage handlers losing it or TSA damaging my bag (they broke the zipper to one of my suitcases).

  7. i always worry after checking in, almost never with carryons (except for gate checks)
I now keep the laptop in the outer compartment, so that if gate checked, I can take it out in 1 sec and be on my way

  8. I always worry if I’m carrying any breakables in my bag, especially if I have to check my bags.

  9. I always worry that my carry on bag is going to fall apart one day when I’m wheeling it through the airport. Just imagine all my items strewn out on the floor as I’m running to catch a flight!

  10. I also travel with Briggs & Riley bags so am not too concerned about something happening to them due to the stellar warranty policy. I brought bags in for repair at least 3 times now and can personally attest that Briggs & Riley really stands behind their commitment!!

  11. No, I don’t worry. I assume something will happen and am pleasantly surprised when things go well.

  12. I almost never check in a bag, so don’t normally worry about my luggage. When I do check in a bag I do worry about mis-directed luggage.

  13. Against conventional frequent flier wisdom, I almost always check a bag, and yet I don’t worry about doing so. Over hundreds and hundreds of flights, my bag has been mishandled just a handful of times. In all but one case, the delayed baggage was delivered to my hotel or home within hours. In the worst case, my bag arrived a few days late and the airline paid for all of the supplies I purchased in the interim.

  14. I generally don’t worry about my luggage as I can travel overhead at all times so that my bag stays in my possession.

  15. No, I don’t worry. In all my years of traveling, nothing major has happened so why worry?

  16. I don’t worry – I assume the worst and am pleasantly surprised when the bags turn out fine.

  17. I worry a touch. More that it will be delayed than lost. I’ve rarely had AA lose one on the outbound, but coming home I’ve had them delayed a day.

  18. I don’t worry about it, but am not surprised when my luggage returns missing a wheel or with marks all over it.

  19. I worry a bit that it won’t make it to my destination with me, but that has never happened.

  20. I worry when I check my bags – and always pleasantly surprised when they hit the conveyer without delay or damage!

  21. My bags have been ripped, pierced, dented, scratched and mutilated in all kinds of special ways. Normally, I claim my replacement selectively since the replacements are oftentimes worse than getting my bag fixed. So yeah, I worry that my luggage is mutilated…not to mention completely lost.
The single worst instance was my bag showing up on the carousel half-open with clothes & travel mementos hanging out…and that happened when coming back from my honeymoon…awesome! 🙂

  22. Typically not, unless I am carrying something really delicious in there. It would not want to loose that bag.
