Gary, do you have a post where you talk about the basics of which programs to look for when trying to fly on miles around the world? For example, I need to fly BOS-KRK in Aug and I can do in using 140K United miles and $108 to fly LH in C, but I have lots of Starwood points and lots of Chase points.
Do you have a post about which programs I should at least take a look at transferring points to before I just use my United miles?
Serbia Airlines new fully flat seating in business class is just the ticket!
@Ryan since you have Chase points which transfer to other places including United, use your United miles first, saver awards that meet your needs is where I’d start.
I do have a post on the value of each mileage currency which implicitly answers your question.

@Gary re: CC rewards. FWIW… I know this is not a top card to you, but as you well know Capital One Venture has 2% points redeemable for travel spend. What is new (to me) is that you can repeatedly redeem against the same travel purchases until they expire in three months. I confirmed this with a rep to make sure I was not double dipping.
@Jim L – CapOne pulls credit reports from all 3 agencies, and the best you’ll do is 2% on travel which isn’t as good as Barclaycard Arrival+ (2.1% on travel) or a 2% cash back card. It’s a strong return but that’s why I’m not big on CapOne Venture.
