Delta Air Lines Karen Demands To Speak To The Manager, Screams At Employees During Delay

Delta Air Lines flight 2097 from Atlanta to Rochester was delayed an hour and one of the airline’s passengers wouldn’t have it. She melted down at gate B14, demanding to speak to a manager – while “calling employees names [and calling a] fellow traveler a weasel.” Delta’s gate agents remained calm throughout.

The best is when she slams her bag on the counter and yells for the police. The agent she’s talking to just picks up her walkie talkie, while the other continues to work at her computer to get the flight out, as though nothing is happening. The passenger then demands “I want to speak to a manager!”

The flight ultimately arrived in Rochester around 45 minutes late.

  1. @Kari A Fredrikson: Good to learn that Delta employees helped you reach your destination. Many people have written that Delta Airlines is a premium airline that flies premium people to premium destinations. I was delighted to learn Delta Airlines offered two-ply premium toilet paper in their aircraft lavatories.

  2. I was at the gate waiting to board the flight to Cleveland. That flight was then delayed. The plane’s destination was then changed to Rochester. One of the pilots going to Rochester was waiting to go on the plane. “Karen” approached the pilot yelling at him about having to deboard the original plane and reboard on the plane at the new gate. Once he was on the plane, she berated the gate staff. When the passengers started to board, Karen was near the end of the line. She was told she could not board. The flight left while she was yelling at the gate attendants. The
people going to Cleveland then had to wait for another plane which resulted in a delay of one hour.

  3. I’m tired of people blaming covid shut down for people acting this way! It’s a “me-me” world today. She should have been shown the exit of the airport as soon as she started “acting up!” I commend those Delta employees for maintaining their professional attitudes during her childish rant!

  4. I have “business cards” I carry that say STOP TALKING… I have no trouble giving them to entitled Karen’s….best to take a photo, find their towns News Papers Facebook page and post the incident…LOL…

  5. Delta Airline is notoriously known for flight glitches. I am sorry for anyone who fly with them. On a scale of 1 to 10, it’s minus zero.
